Welcome to Unfiltered: Do You Wheelie Want to Talk?
My name is Kim Brock, and I’m a 37-year-old woman with cerebral palsy from the beautiful state of South Carolina. My titles are many: a mom, wife, council woman, advocate, speaker, model, and someone who believes the most important conversations are often the ones people avoid.
This space is exactly what the name promises: unfiltered.
Here, I talk about a wide range of topics—from motherhood and marriage to disability rights, inclusion, and ableism, and everything in between. I share the realities of parenting while disabled, navigating relationships, pushing back against limiting narratives, and living an active, full life in a body the world often underestimates.
I don’t sugarcoat lived experience, and I don’t believe disability needs to be softened to be palatable. I believe in honesty, accountability, representation, and advocacy that actually moves the needle. Some conversations may be uncomfortable—but they’re necessary.
This isn’t about inspiration for inspiration’s sake. It’s about truth, visibility, and creating space for voices that deserve to be heard without being filtered, minimized, or explained away.
If you’re ready for real talk, real life, and real advocacy—
you’re in the right place.
Welcome!
