30 Minutes a Day: My Reset Challenge

The past couple of months didn’t go the way I planned. Between the busyness of the holidays and the unexpected setback of breaking my finger, my normal routine slowly slipped away. What used to feel like a natural part of my life—staying active, moving with purpose, prioritizing my health—became something I kept putting off. Before I knew it, I wasn’t just out of routine… I was out of shape, out of rhythm, and honestly, a little discouraged.

It’s frustrating when you can feel the difference in your body and your energy. I missed feeling strong. I missed feeling like myself. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life will always have seasons like this. The important part isn’t avoiding them—it’s deciding what you’re going to do next.

So I made a decision.

Instead of trying to jump back in all at once or expecting perfection from day one, I’m starting simple: 30 minutes of walking every day for the next 28 days. No excuses. No overthinking. Just a commitment to show up daily and rebuild what I’ve lost—step by step.

There’s also something meaningful waiting for me at the end of April, and I want to walk into that moment feeling my absolute best—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I want to feel confident, strong, and proud of the effort I put in to get there. Not because the journey was perfect, but because I didn’t quit on myself.

This challenge isn’t really about walking—it’s about discipline. It’s about consistency. It’s about reminding myself that even after setbacks, even after pauses, I still have the power to begin again. And sometimes, beginning again is the strongest thing you can do.

If you’re in a season where you feel like you’ve fallen off or lost momentum, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone. You don’t have to overhaul your entire life overnight. You just have to take the first step. Then take another one tomorrow.

That’s what I’m doing—one walk at a time, one day at a time, rebuilding not just my strength, but my confidence too. And I have a feeling that by the end of these 28 days, I won’t just look different—I’ll feel like myself again.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. — Philippians 4:13
