Miami Swim Week is officially in the books!
I know I’ve been a little quiet the past few weeks, but life has been FULL — between mom life, council work, advocacy, and of course preparing for Miami Swim Week.
The second I walked into the hotel, everything started moving fast. Fittings, photos, networking — all the excitement instantly kicked in. But one of my favorite moments was walking into the fitting room packed full of models and feeling completely comfortable. No awkwardness. No stares. No one batting an eye. I just jumped right into conversations like I belonged there — because I did. Even my manager feels like family. THAT is why I love modeling for Luxe Style. Inclusion isn’t just talked about… it’s lived out.
And the show itself? AMAZING.
I’m still shocked to say this, but I won the Luxe Style Magazine People’s Choice Award for Best Standard Female Model! WOW!!! Thank you to every single person who voted for me, supported me, shared my posts, and encouraged me along the way. Your support means more than you know.
One of the coolest moments of the day was opening the show ACTUALLY walking the runway with James. I’ve never WALKED the runway. Such a fun experience and definitely a memory I’ll never forget.
Then came my Kween Kloset walk in my wheelchair and the song playing was “Jesus, Your Way’s Better.” Honestly, that moment says everything about my journey. Years ago I never could have imagined this life, these opportunities, or these stages. Yet here I am, rolling down a Miami Swim Week runway completely confident in who I am and how God created me.
After the show, I headed straight to the pool for the Louie Voltiion photoshoot, which was such a vibe. And before everything ended, I made sure to steal a few minutes to play in the ocean because… you can’t go to Miami and NOT touch the water.
From the runway to the photoshoots to the unforgettable memories, Miami Swim Week absolutely did not disappoint.
And honestly? I’m just getting started.
