There’s something powerful about keeping a promise to yourself.
Twenty-eight days ago, I made a simple commitment: walk for 30 minutes every single day. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just show up. And today, I can proudly say—I did it.
Not perfectly. Not easily. But consistently.
This challenge didn’t come during a quiet, calm season of life. It came right in the middle of the chaos—therapy appointments, softball games, work, events, family time, and everything in between. There were nights I didn’t feel like it. Nights when the only time I had left was in the dark. But I laced up anyway. Step by step, I showed up for myself.
And let me tell you—it was worth it.
I feel the difference in every part of me. I have more energy. I’m sleeping better. My resting heart rate has dropped significantly. My body feels stronger. But even more than the physical changes, it’s what’s happened mentally and emotionally that means the most.
I proved to myself that I can do hard things.
I proved that even in a full, overwhelming season, I can still prioritize my health. I can still follow through. I can still choose discipline over excuses.
And now… I get to carry that strength into something BIG.
On Monday, we head out for New Jersey—and I can hardly believe I get to say this—I’ll be modeling Adidas for the Runway of Dreams Fashion Show at the Abilities Expo.
Y’all… what?!
This moment feels surreal. It feels like a dream. And I know, deep down, that this 28-day journey helped prepare me for it—not just physically, but mentally. I’m walking into this experience feeling confident, energized, and ready.
Ready to represent.
Ready to show up.
Ready to SLAY that runway.
But what makes this even more special is that I won’t be doing it alone. My girls are coming with me, and their excitement makes this whole adventure even sweeter. We’re not just traveling—we’re making memories. The kind that lasts a lifetime.
So as we get ready to hit the road, I’m carrying a heart full of gratitude and anticipation. I would truly appreciate your prayers—for safe travel, a smooth journey, and incredible memories made as a family.
This is more than a trip.
More than a challenge completed.
More than a moment.
It’s a reminder that growth happens when you keep going… even when it’s hard. And sometimes, the very thing you almost talked yourself out of becomes the thing that prepares you for your next big breakthrough.
One walk at a time led me here– a stronger, healthier woman, who is ready to rock any adventure.
And I’m just getting started.
